Megan Ward joined the cast of "General Hospital" in May 2007. She plays the role of Kate, someone from Sonny's past in Bensonhurst who mysteriously resurfaces in his life. Trying to erase her past, she has only one mission to accomplish before leaving Port Charles.

Ward has played numerous roles for film and television, including the lead role in "Dark Portal," "Rated X," Dave Barry's "Guide to Guys," "Joe's Apartment," "Glory Daze," "P.C.U" and "Encino Man," and she's been featured in the hit TV series "ER," "Sleeper Cell," "Seventh Heaven," "CSI," "CSI: Miami," ABC's "Boston Legal," "N.C.I.S," "Kevin Hill," "Without a Trace," "Boomtown," "Party of Five," "Dark Skies" and "Class of '96," among many others.

Raised in Honolulu, Ward got her start at the age of 9, when she played Peablossom in "A Midsummer's Night Dream" in a local theater. At 15 she began her modeling career and spent some time in Tokyo, where she learned to speak Japanese fluently.

Ward has been happily married for 13 years and has two children.
